Responsibilities Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma hospital Night shift, typically 3x12 hour shifts with required on-call hours (16 hours per 6-week block) Every other weekend is required, with no accommodation for block schedules Clinicians may float within scope to meet unit needs Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is required Scrubs are provided Patient care performed in a large academic medical center with more than 1000 beds First-time travelers are welcome to apply Returning permanent staff must be gone for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius Up to 7 days of time off (RTO) can be auto-approved; more than 7 days requires approval Must participate in any natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed Parking is available for $125 per month One professional reference is required for consideration Requirements Active CT or compact RN license (pending accepted if active before start date) At least 2 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery RN experience Current AWHONN, NRP, and BLS certifications required Epic EMR experience required Experience in a trauma center and large facility required No prior disciplinary action on nursing license Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required (medical / religious exemption only) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619951.
