Searching for a candidate interested in making an impact as part of a critical component within Cengage Group Distribution Center eager to perform daily tasks accurately and with excellence going above and beyond standard expectations. The Transportation and Routing Specialist role is a service-oriented position focused on completing tasks for daily shipment routing and providing timely and courteous support to all internal customer service associates, internal sales associates, distribution staff, carriers and 3PL distribution customers for inquiries or issues pertaining to transportation.
Where You Will Work
The position requires a hybrid work schedule with at minimum one day per week required to be completed in the office. Additional days (TBD) on site could be required due to change in business need or to support continued development of abilities. Candidates willing and able to engage in on-site activities above the required minimum will be better suited to handle the demands of the role and be positioned to accelerate professional development. Job training will take place in person at the Cengage Distribution Center daily, for 3-4 days per week, approximately 2 3 weeks after initial orientation, or until duties are mastered and candidate shows proficiency to work independently.

Perform time critical daily outbound routing activities on which distribution operations require to be complete.

Excellent initiative and desire to learn Cengage's day to day transportation operations (both domestically and abroad).
Education
High School Diploma / College preferred

Compensation
At Cengage Group, we take great pride in our commitment to providing a comprehensive and rewarding Total Rewards package designed to support and empower our employees. The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range. $17.00 - $22.00 USD
