Lead the Next Evolution of Our Aerospace QMS

Picture your day : you start by guiding a cross-functional stand-up focused on closing the final gaps to AS9100D certification. Before lunch, you refine procedures for configuration management, counterfeit part prevention, FOD control, and product safety. In the afternoon, you host an internal audit, coach teams on human factors and AS9100 clauses, analyze CAPA and audit metrics, and review DMRs, DHFs, and validation files to ensure everything aligns with FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and AS9100 expectations. You close the day as the go-to quality contact for aerospace customers, aligning supplier performance and requirement flow-down.

Impact You’ll Make

  • Own the AS9100D gap analysis and the implementation roadmap to certification.
  • Build and update QMS documentation for configuration management, counterfeit part prevention, FOD control, and product safety.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits; support registrar and customer audits with confidence.
  • Drive CAPA and complaint handling activities with rigor and transparency.
  • Create, track, and present quality system metrics (e.g., CAPAs, audits, complaints).
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement and QMS upgrade projects.
  • Strengthen supplier quality : flow down customer requirements and monitor supplier performance.
  • Deliver training on AS9100 clauses, human factors, and aerospace-specific controls.
  • Maintain technical documentation including DMRs, DHFs, and validation packages.
  • Serve as the primary interface to aerospace customers on quality matters.
  • Ensure alignment to FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate broadly to achieve regulatory and quality objectives.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
  • 5–8+ years in aerospace quality systems.
  • Deep knowledge of AS9100D and risk tools (FMEA, fault tree analysis).
  • Preferred : ASQ CQE, Six Sigma, or Lean certifications.
  • Hands-on with QMS software, statistical analysis tools, and audit management platforms.
  • Strategic mindset and strong project management capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication; adept at leading cross-functional change.
  • Proactive, detail-driven problem solver.
  • Effective listener; communicates across all levels and channels.
  • Strong written and technical documentation skills.
  • Respectful, accountable, and consistent in follow-through.
  • Committed to accuracy, continuous improvement, and self-monitoring for quality.
