Creation Village World School is seeking an experienced and passionate Language and Literature instructor to teach IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Language and Literature. The position is to join our dynamic faculty team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a love for global history, geography, political systems, economics, and religious studies, and guiding students to develop critical thinking and intercultural awareness.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Dean of the MYP, the Language and Literature Teacher is responsible for the daily functions and management of Language and Literature for 6th through 8th grade.

Missional Responsibilities :

• Live CVWS's mission is to fulfill each learner's God-created identity by developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who love God, pursue excellence, cultivate well-being, and serve others.
• Model the foundation and four pillars of the CVWS mission in the classroom and school.
• Live and instruct the CREATION Life in the classroom, guiding students as they develop in each principle.
• Develop students through the International Baccalaureate (IB) educational framework based on their programme of study.
• Grow students holistic capabilities through Yale’s RULER approach to social-emotional learning and development.

Teaching Responsibilities :

Teach classes at CVWS as directed by the Dean of MYP including but not limited to :

Requirements

Physical constraints required include the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances, to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, and the use of arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job, including the evacuation of the building during emergencies.
