About Us

At Encord, we're building the AI infrastructure of the future. The biggest challenge AI companies face today is not nearly as glamorous as the outside world may think : it's all about data quality. In fact, the success of any AI application today relies on the quality of a model's training data. For 95% of teams, this essential step is both the most costly, and the most time-consuming in getting their product to market.

As ex-computer scientists, physicists, and quants, we felt first-hand how the lack of tools to prepare quality training data was impeding the progress of building AI. AI today is what the early days of computing or the internet were like, where the potential of the technology is clear, but the tools and processes surrounding it are still primitive, preventing the next generation of applications. This is why we started Encord.

We are a team of 75, working at the cutting edge of multimodal and visual AI. Encord is backed by top investors, including CRV, Y Combinator, and Next47, leading industry executives like Luc Vincent, former VP of AI at Meta, and other Bay Area AI leaders. We are one the fastest growing companies in our space, and consistently rated as the best product in the market by our customers. We have big plans ahead and are looking for an ambitious Account Executive to join us in building our team.

What can you expect?

  • You will be one of the first quota-carriers and SF employees at one of the fastest growing AI tooling startups, reporting to our Head of Sales & working alongside the co-founders and leadership team.
  • You’ll be the engine for our revenue growth, learning how to take a product to market and scale to $millions in ARR by actually doing it.
  • You will navigate complex sales cycles with the world's leading mid-market and enterprise tech businesses (from fast growing startups to Fortune 500s teams).
  • You will build and manage your sales pipeline and close deals, as we expand our ideal customer profile & find successes in new sectors and geographies... hopefully you'll manage a geography / sector / team in the next 12 months.
  • You will build and maintain close relationships across product, engineering, and customer success, giving feedback gathered from the front line, helping steer our roadmap, & experiencing first-hand how great products & great businesses are built.

About you

  • You're ambitious, competitive, and care lots about your career. You're probably happiest when working really hard and solving challenging problems / winning deals. You know this requires dedication & some sacrifice but you think it's worth it. You want to rise faster than would be possible in any 'normal' career and you're happy to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is required.
  • You're an entrepreneur and you want to be a part of building a business.
  • You have good commercial intuition, and the ability to build rapport, influence people and drive change, whether it's with a distinguished exec or a junior operator. You can get on well with anyone and have the gravitas to sell to senior leadership (eg. CTOs) or the ability to learn quickly.
  • You want to become exceptional at Sales and you’re looking for a company that can offer you that growth and learning opportunity to enable you to become a future leader.
  • You’ve consistently performed in the top percentile of whatever environment you’ve been in, whether in academia, business, sport, sales team, or whatever else you've put your mind to.

    The amount listed is the on-target cash compensation (OTE) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commission.
