Job Description : Responsibilities :

Responsibilities :

• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls to waiver and Long Term-Personal Care Services (LT-PCS) requestors and participants
• Complete eligibility screening for LDH / OAAS programs
• Use approved databases to input and update requestors and participants information and track application process for LDH long-term program options
• Perform per and post assessment tasks related to LOCET mailing and follow-up
• Make appropriate referrals for non-OAAS community services
• Participate in appeals hearings
• Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) process
• Provide consultation and assistance with application processes
• Participate in on-going departmental and Conduent training activities
• Handle TTD / TTY (telecommunications for the hearing impaired) assistance calls
• Provide prompt, professional customer service to ensure that all necessary information is covered and gathered from requestors / participants in a clear, consistent, and professional manner

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree in Human Services field (i.e., Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Nursing, or Social Work)
• Knowledge of Health Care preferred ; Medicaid experience also strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of and experience in any of the following desired :

Office of Aging and Adult Services (OAAS)

Louisiana Department of Health (LDH)

Office of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD)

Louisiana Medicaid
