Join our mission to help everyone live a longer, happier, healthier life. We are seeking Medical-Surgical Nurses to independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure.

You will provide direct nursing care to patients, assume teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participate in shared decision making, unit committee and quality improvement activities.

This job requires someone who practices ethically, is knowledgeable and competent in current nursing practice, integrates evidence and research finding into practice, and is able to communicate effectively in all areas of practice.

You should be able to utilize appropriate resources to plan and provide nursing services that are safe, effective, and financially responsible.

Collaborating with the patient, family, the inter-professional team, and others in the conduct of nursing practice is very important.

Additionally, you should practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner, and foster, participate, and be knowledgeable with the shared decision-making model of the NCH Healthcare System.

WORK TYPE : Full Time
WORK SCHEDULE : 12 Hour Day
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
All new to practice RN will be placed into the RN Residency Program.
Intermediate computer knowledge : Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
