Every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation required.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care for a diverse range of patients, including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal surgeries.Care for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients through our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you'll gain exposure to leading neurosurgical techniques and advanced patient care.

Assess patient needs using the nursing process and develop individualized care plans.Recognize changes in patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Promote patient safety and report potential safety issues promptly.Engage in ongoing evaluation of patient care outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills.Licensure and Certification :
Registered Nurse license from the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education & Experience :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to provide holistic patient-centered care.Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.Proficient in electronic medical records and communication.Strong organization and time management capabilities.Physical Requirements :
