Description

The Network Engineer I is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and maintaining the data network infrastructure. The Network Engineer I works predominately with Cisco-based local area networks (LAN), Cisco-based MPLS wide area networks (WAN), VoIP systems, Remote Access Systems including Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Internet, Intranet and other network communications systems and protocols. Additionally, this person will assist with network security policy administration and monitoring. This person also routinely assists internal customers with networking errors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems strongly preferred
• Cisco CCNA certified or on certification path
• 1+ year of experience in data center infrastructure; experience with Cisco Communication Manager a plus
• Working knowledge of transmission, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systems
• Thorough knowledge of switching, subnetting, VLANs, VoIP and TCP / IP in general
• Strong communication skills; ability to work with and explain issues to a wide variety of users
• Ability to travel occasionally, up to 20%

Compensation : $70,000.00-$80,000.00
