Requirements :
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide expertise in desktop publishing processes and software applications.
- Provide assistance in standardizing desktop publishing processes and products.
- Provide daily support for a wide variety of ongoing publishing activities to include monitoring, analyzing, developing, and maintaining reports generated using the desktop publication system.
- Provide advanced desktop publishing expertise in order to make recommendations on the status and issues associated with the development, production, design, and maintenance of various publications.
- As a subject matter expert compose and format large complex documents, oversight reports and planning documents, and less complex posters and brochures.
- Provide proofreading and copy editing support for a variety of products.
- Develop and maintain publications guides and instruction manuals.
- Provide desktop publishing support to produce a variety of print and electronic media to support the implementation of the DoD Strategic Communications Plan.
Requirements :
- Individual must have demonstrated experience creating high quality layouts and graphics, preferably with previous DoD experience.
- Individual must be highly proficient with InDesign, or other similar desktop publishing software.
- Individual must strong typesetting, proofreading, and copy / editing skills.
