About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Hours per Shift : 48 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Gynecology

License : Current RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Must-Have : Must be willing to float to Newborn nursery and NICU.

Description :

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Gynecology.

Preferred experience includes stability training (STABLE), but it is not required.

Clinicians must be willing to work nights and some days.

The position requires floating to the Newborn nursery and NICU as needed.

Registered Nurses will provide care for Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk deliveries.

They will also attend to postpartum mothers and newborns, as well as provide gynecological surgical postoperative care.

Essential equipment used in the unit includes fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, and electronic documentation systems.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for Labor and Delivery, 1 : 3 for mom / baby couplets, and 1 : 5-6 for a combination of moms, babies, and gynecological patients.

Dress code requires navy blue scrubs for gynecology and postpartum care.

Candidates must adhere to all hospital policies and procedures during their assignment.
