Pay range : RVT $26 - $40 / hr VA $24- $34 / hr

Sign on bonus up to $2500 available!

About the role :

As a Veterinary Technician in the Internal Medicine department, you be responsible for the following duties :

• Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy.
• Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine service.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care treatments under veterinarian supervision.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their animal's condition and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.
• Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology.
• Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine through continuing education.
• Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation range :   primarily determined by role and experience level
