PV Village Pet Hospital is looking for a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician with Potential for Full-Time Employment to join our team! 8-hour shifts with weekend opportunities in the future Redondo Beach, CA     At PV Village Pet Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, we take action to empower your best care for pets, their families, and yourself.   We are a modern, state-of-the-art hospital located blocks away from the beach and a few hours away from the mountains. We invest heavily in our employees' long-term growth and happiness.     As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.   Role Requirements :

• Proof of Registered Veterinary Technician status in California
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals.
• Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspects of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
• Be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography (full body and dental)
• Assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (eg. Spays, neuters, mass removals, dentals, etc)
• Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
• Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Professional and friendly demeanor with staff and clients
• Able to work late day shifts and a regular weekend day.
• Available part-time
