About Us

As a Housekeeper, you are the heart of the hotel with a passion for great service. You will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, deep cleaning activities, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure our guests have a memorable experience.

This role is for you if you are passionate about creating clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. If you are a service-oriented individual who is excited about being part of a team that strives for excellence, then this job could be a great fit.

KEY SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sanitation and Cleanliness : Ensure the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness in guest rooms and equipment. Spruce up lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. Make sure everything shines, from carpets to furniture. Stock and organize housekeeping carts, ensuring efficiency and readiness.  Replace bed linens and restock guest room supplies.  Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, including changing AC filters and touching up paint.
• Guest Service & Communication : Be quick to respond to guest requests and deliver items with a friendly attitude. Exhibit great customer service skills.
• Safety and Compliance : Ensure guest and hotel property is respected and safe. Safeguard sensitive areas. Practice safe work habits to avoid possible injuries.

The Courtyard Bloomington Normal hotel is located one block off of Veteran's Parkway in Normal, IL, just minutes from Illinois State University. Our central location places us near the headquarters of State Farm Insurance, Country Financial Insurance and Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America, as well as near Illinois Wesleyan University. The Bloomington Normal area has plenty for guests to explore during their stay. Visitors can catch a show at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, visit the animals at Miller Park Zoo, explore the exhibits at the Children's Discovery Museum, or discover one of the other many things the area has to offer. Within a few miles of the hotel guests can enjoy fine dining, shopping at the Eastland Mall & the Shoppes at College Hills, as well as indoor and outdoor golf.
