Responsibilities
The Lead Interior Designer is responsible for the design of multiple projects, reviewing the quality of the work and advancing the design portfolio of the Interiors practice.
- Perform project related assignments
- Assess team skills and assign project work
- Mentor junior staff
- Assist in the development of the business plans of each sector as well as identify opportunities for prime interiors projects
- Participate in the marketing and pursuit of project work
- Identify and document completed projects to advance the firms' brand recognition
- Act as a visible brand ambassador for the organization both in professional organizations and conference settings
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related fieldProfessional license / certification required7 - 18 years of experience as a designer, at least 5 of which is in a supervisory / project management capacityDemonstrated advanced knowledge of materials, detailing, and construction techniquesRecord of design excellenceDesigner of multiple award-winning projectsProven design leadership skills with particular emphasis on mentoring and teachingProven appreciation and commitment to expertise driven design solutionsSound understanding of the expertise within the firmProven successful client relationshipsAdvanced presentation and public speaking skills#LI-JK1
