Summary / Objective : Responsible for the day-to-day activities of assigned personnel on the assembly, installation and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of fire protection sprinkler systems. In addition to supervisory responsibility, this position is that of a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and materials to ensure the assigned tasks meet or beat budgets for each
• Tracks hours and manpower on all tasks
• Provides training in areas needing improvements to ensure quality, production, and safety
• Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks
• Attends, as needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects
• Interprets company policy for workers and enforces safety regulations
• Provides guidance and direction to crews in meeting budgets and project schedule
• Ability to manage installation fitters and helpers at job site
• Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
• Responsible for installation of wet, cpvc, and steel systems in commercial and industrial buildings
• Plans work to make the most efficient use of assigned manpower and other resources
• Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to contract and specification
• Maintains appropriate documentation for the work performed
• Demonstrates positive teamwork and ability to be a team leader and mentor
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Completes projects in a timely manner while providing the highest standard of quality work and customer satisfaction
• Performs other duties as assigned
