About The Position

Job Title : Quality Assurance Nurse

Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Experience : Minimum years of relevant experience required

License : Current license to practice in Arizona as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Certifications : Infection Preventionist Certification required

Must-Have :

  • Valid AZ Driver's License required
  • DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required

Description :

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse to join our team.

This position requires either an RN or LPN.

The schedule is flexible, with options of 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM.

The role involves covering QA Nurse / Staff Education and Infection Preventionist responsibilities.

The nurse will implement policies and procedures pertaining to quality assurance using applicable guidelines.

Duties include gathering and analyzing data through audits and interviews to monitor compliance across departments.

The nurse will review monthly reports and develop performance improvement plans where necessary.

Preparation and distribution of reports and statistical analyses will be key functions.

The nurse will assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans.

Monitoring and reporting on facility plans for correcting deficiencies will also be part of the role.

Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and VA regulations is crucial.

The nurse will investigate incidents of non-compliance and work with administration on allegations of abuse.

Coordination of internal Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committee meetings will be required.

Identifying training needs and developing educational programs for staff related to compliance will be essential.

Daily rounds for infection control surveillance will be part of the responsibilities.

Staying updated on current information and attending educational opportunities is necessary.

Knowledge of management principles, nursing home regulations, and quality assurance methods is expected.

The role requires skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

The ability to analyze and interpret information while developing training programs is essential.
