Halff has an opening for a Project Civil Engineer (P.E.) with experience in Transportation Design / Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) to work in our Corpus Christi, TX office.

The Corpus Christi team is looking for a talented professional to join a new Transportation team in support of performing Transportation Design for TxDOT roadway & highway design projects.

The successful candidate should have experience managing a design team, coordinating with clients or stakeholders and leading delivery of transportation planning and / or design projects.

In addition to project delivery responsibilities, candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, budgets, schedules, sub consultants and client interaction.

The candidate will work closely with the transportation team leader and area operation manager in business development activities.

Project Civil Engineer (P.E.) Transportation / PS&E Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities :

• Works under a Team Leader in the development of roadway design and PS&E
• Manages multiple transportation projects in support of business needs
• Manages the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff
• Assists with business development activities

Project Civil Engineer (P.E.) Transportation / PS&E Education / Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or willing and able to obtain license within six months
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation project delivery
• MicroStation CADD and Geopak experience
• Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is desirable
• OpenRoads experience desirable
