Lead Preventative Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

What Preventative Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a working technical leader, keep up to date records and maintain data bases, coordinate preventive maintenance work orders and general repair and upkeep of building and equipment in the plant. This position will assist in training and development of the Maintenance Technician's work force within the department / area assigned. Responsible for assigned work orders and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment. Serve as leader to the facilities group when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
• Ability to interpret technical writing and procedures. Ability to read engineering drawings. Ability to use a personal computer equipped with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ensure proper set-up of production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completion of assigned tasks.
• Adhere to plant policies / procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), ISO 9002 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.
• Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees / visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.
• Complete all pertinent paperwork pertaining to the assigned tasks and maximum system being produced according to established guidelines in manufacturing procedures.
• Report any unusual or unacceptable circumstances to supervisor.
• Responsible to observe department's regulations and to use personal protective equipment as required, must be safety conscious and Lockout / Tagout trained.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities
• Responsible to observe plant regulations and use personal protective equipment as required, must be safety conscious and Lockout / Tagout trained.
• Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas.
• Complete Annual Hazardous Waste (RCRA) refresher training.

Qualifications

Anticipated hourly range : $30.00 per - $40.00 per hour (includes shift differential)
