Job Description
Infra Tech Engineering is actively seeking Senior Civil / Transportation Engineers for major transportation projects in New York & New Jersey. Ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and must possess a BS degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of experience with highway / bridge design, production of plans, and coordination of traffic elements such as signing and striping, signalization, ITS, and roadway lighting. Must be fluent in Micro-Station, Inroads and familiar with NYCDOT, NYSDOT and PANYNJ standards, as well as the MUTCD and AASHTO guidelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform various traffic engineering analysis and design tasks, including the design of traffic signals, signing, striping and pavement marking plans, preparation of detour plans and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) plans.
- Perform and supervise the design and development of roadwork plans for highway / bridge / intersections and drainage improvement projects using AutoCAD, Micro Station and Inroads.
- Proficient in the preparation of roadway / bridge and infrastructure preliminary and final design Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for construction.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringMaster's degree in Civil Engineering, a plus.Work experience in Highway / Bridge / Civil Engineering Design with public agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT and PANYNJ.Expertise in traffic capacity analysis software such as HCS, VISSIM, Synchro and SimTraffic.10+ years of experience in roadway / highway design, geometric design, and traffic controls.Familiar with MUTCD, AASHTO, NYSDOT Highway Design Manual, Highway Standards and specs.AutoCAD and MicroStation experience.Knowledge of Bentley In-Roads.Professional Engineer (PE) in NY or the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.Benefits : Infra Tech offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) with company match, short and long-term disability, life insurance, college savings plan, commuter benefits, and educational assistance.
