Senior Traffic / Transportation Engineer

Job Description

Infra Tech Engineering is actively seeking Senior Civil / Transportation Engineers for major transportation projects in New York & New Jersey. Ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and must possess a BS degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of experience with highway / bridge design, production of plans, and coordination of traffic elements such as signing and striping, signalization, ITS, and roadway lighting. Must be fluent in Micro-Station, Inroads and familiar with NYCDOT, NYSDOT and PANYNJ standards, as well as the MUTCD and AASHTO guidelines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform various traffic engineering analysis and design tasks, including the design of traffic signals, signing, striping and pavement marking plans, preparation of detour plans and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) / Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) plans.
• Perform and supervise the design and development of roadwork plans for highway / bridge / intersections and drainage improvement projects using AutoCAD, Micro Station and Inroads.
• Proficient in the preparation of roadway / bridge and infrastructure preliminary and final design Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for construction.
