Design Engineer - Air Intake Systems (Commercial Vehicles) - Contract - Potential Long Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Contract Design Engineer to join our clients team, focusing on the design and development of air intake systems for commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and a strong background in automotive or commercial vehicle engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop air intake systems and components using Creo, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into the overall vehicle architecture.

Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing and testing phases.

Ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability, cost, and performance.

Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, changes, and approvals.

Essential Qualifications and Skills :

Proven experience as a Design Engineer, specifically in air intake systems for commercial vehicles.

Proficiency in Creo (PTC Creo) for 3D CAD modeling and design.

Strong understanding of automotive engineering principles and vehicle integration.

Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable Attributes :

Experience with Windchill PLM software.

Familiarity with air intake system testing and validation processes.

Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
