Job Summary :

We are seeking an Engineer who will leverage their knowledge of mathematics, physics and engineering principles as well their experience in structural engineering, heavy lift and / or transportation to analyze projects and design plans that ensure the safety, stability and integrity of our work. Our team is made up of self-starters who own a project from inception through completion with strong problem solving and organizational background.

Your daily work responsibilities will include :

Analysis

• Examine project goals and perform calculations, considering loads and stresses and making appropriate calculations.
• Evaluate the conditions surrounding projects and determine the most appropriate course of action while supporting the project requirements and the service level commitments of Vic’s Crane & Heavy Haul.
• Apply technical knowledge to meet expectations (including code, regulations and quality standards).
• Analyze configurations of basic components for appropriate builds.
• Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component will encounter.
• Considering the strength of various materials to see how inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design.
