Job descriptionEvaluate and manage all underwriting aspects of life insurance applications Determine the acceptance, modification, or decline of risks based on individual assessments Deliver competitive offers to drive sales effectively Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to customers and third-party firms Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information necessary for underwriting decisions High school diploma or GED Minimum of 3 years of life insurance underwriting experience Established life insurance underwriting authority limit of $3 million Expert knowledge of risk selection, including medical and financial aspects Familiarity with underwriting administrative systems and guidelines Over 5 years of underwriting experience with a minimum authority limit of $5 million Experience with term and permanent life insurance underwriting Background in third-party distribution or reinsurance Completion of industry exams such as FLMI, FALU, CLU, or ChFC Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
