We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team and help transform the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning and develop essential social skills.
  • Work closely with the teaching team to implement personalised learning strategies for individual students.
  • Support behaviour management, encouraging positive behaviour and helping students build resilience.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of classroom activities and interventions that address both academic and emotional challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to feedback discussions with the wider school team.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH or in a similar educational support role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the social and emotional development of young people.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
  • A background in special educational needs is beneficial, but not essential.
