Orthopedics Physician Assistant

An established orthopedic practice in western Connecticut is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified physicians and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates with orthopedic rotations are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities :

Full-time permanent position - Danbury, CT office

Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic, hospital and first assist duties

Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments

Diagnose musculoskeletal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients

Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care

Take call on a monthly basis

Qualifications :

CT State License or ability to obtain one

Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively

Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
