Chief Financial Officer – Invictus International Consulting, LLC

Position Summary

The CFO will be a trusted executive leader within Invictus, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team. The CFO will lead all financial and accounting functions, drive financial strategy, ensure robust internal controls, and support our government‑contracting business model. Deep competence in accounting, financial analysis, cost accounting for government contracts, FAR / DFARS compliance, and financial risk management is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full breadth of finance and accounting operations : general ledger, cost accounting, contract accounting, revenue recognition, billing / invoicing, cash flow, treasury, forecasting and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting cost principles (FAR Part 31, CAS, DFARS) and support audits (DCAA, internal, external).
• Develop and execute the financial strategy to support company growth, including financial modeling, scenario planning, capital structure, and risk management.
• Lead the annual operating budget and long‑range financial planning cycles; provide financial reporting to the executive team and board.
• Implement strong internal controls, policies, procedures and systems to support growth and integrity of financial operations.
• Partner with programs, business development, capture and operations teams to support proposal development (pricing strategy, cost‑volume‑profit analysis), program control, and margin optimization.
• Manage and mentor the finance organization : controllers, cost accountants, FP&A, program finance leads.
• Build a high‑performance culture aligned with the company’s mission and values.
• Serve as liaison to external auditors, bankers, investors, bonding agencies (if applicable) and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic financial insight to enable business decisions : M&A, joint ventures, investing in growth, pricing strategy, scaling infrastructure.
• Engage actively in leadership team‑level strategic discussions and contribute to overall corporate strategy.
