Overview
Position Description : Field Service Engineer II (PITCO) supporting upgrading and testing of the video management system (VMS) at U.S. Army installations worldwide. Works with a team to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot VMS, CCTV, desktop computing systems, peripherals, cabling, and rack-mounted equipment. Collaborates with Engineers, Project Leads, and Project Engineers to ensure successful PITCO testing and VMS readiness.
Responsibilities
- Review documents in ServiceNow
- Apply asset tags to hardware
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to transfer equipment to / from PITCO
- Update asset management database
- Configure hardware and stage, power up, and interconnect components
- Install software images and apply settings
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to VMS end points
- Monitor hardware burn-in
- Complete test plans and checklists
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with hardware, software VMS, and network devices
- Repack hardware and palletize for shipping
- Create transfer orders in asset management database
- Provide progress reports on PITCO testing
- Understand termination of Cat 5e / 6 using T568B color code standard
- Contribute to research and development activities as needed, including constructing experimental models and reporting findings
- Perform basic administrative tasks (daily status reports, close-out documents, timekeeping)
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer (or equivalent)3 years of experience with installation of closed-circuit television, video management systems, Windows Server and Windows 11, and IP networkingActive DoD Secret ClearanceWillingness to travel and work outside normal hours up to 10%U.S. CitizenAdditional desired experience and skills :

Pay : In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the hourly range for this role is $67,889 to $113,149. Serco considers several factors when offering compensation, including role responsibilities, experience, education / training, and key skills.
