MEP Superintendent – Mid / High-Rise Construction

About the Company
Our client is a well-established general contractor with a strong presence in South Florida, specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial high-rise developments. They are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on mid- to high-rise ground-up projects .
Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all MEP systems installations from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, field coordination experience, and the ability to lead subcontractors across multiple trades in complex, high-rise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection activities on-site.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and design teams to ensure MEP scopes align with project requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify potential conflicts and coordinate solutions.
- Lead weekly MEP coordination meetings and ensure trades adhere to project milestones.
- Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
- Track progress, manage quality control, and ensure timely completion of MEP work.
- Support value engineering and constructability reviews during preconstruction and early field phases.
- Coordinate with utility providers and ensure timely tie-ins and approvals.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction, with at least 3 years focused on MEP supervision.Proven background managing mid- to high-rise ground-up projects (10–30 stories).Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and life-safety systems.Ability to read and interpret MEP plans, schematics, and specifications.Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project (or similar).Excellent coordination and communication skills.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Compensation & Benefits
