Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care (Contract Role)

Shift : 12-Hour Night | 6 : 30 PM 7 : 00 AM
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate : $2,232 - $2,412; (Negotiable based on experience)
Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract role in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with intermediate and critical care needs. This is a 13-week assignment, with the potential for extension based on performance and facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care in the IMCU / PCU settings, focusing on monitoring, assessing, and managing patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in a timely manner.
- Perform routine assessments, document patient progress, and communicate changes in condition to the medical team.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, including emergency situations.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new staff members when required.
- Float to different departments as needed, based on staffing and patient care needs.
Required Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU / PCU, including documented travel nursing experience.Certifications : Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.Licenses : Active RN License in New York State and any other state(s) held.Experience with EMR : EPIC experience required for documentation and charting.Floating : Must be flexible and willing to float to other units as required.Additional Info :
