Position Summary : Responsible for assisting the Logistics Manager in effectively managing the entire daily operations of inbound logistics in order to acquire control of inbound freight at less than delivered price to enhance bottom line income for the company. Solves freight problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. Analyzes work-related situations and make decisions in an effective and timely manner. Answers questions and solves issues based on extensive logistics and company specific knowledge. May assist with training. Communicates and interacts with vendors and coworkers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
