Area Sales Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead and coordinate a team of sales representatives in the Metro NY / NJ market. This role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands diverse consumer markets, and is passionate about driving growth in the food and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
As Sales Manager, you will :
- Lead and inspire a team of sales representatives to consistently meet and exceed assigned targets (volumes, spoils, new products, and overall growth).
- Support the sales team in achieving quarterly and yearly goals.
- Drive promotional activities at the store level (flyers, signage, secondary locations, shelf space expansion, etc.).
- Coach, train, and evaluate sales associates in sales techniques, customer relations, new product introductions, and account development.
- Review sales orders, collections, route performance, accounts receivable, and overall objectives monthly with each representative.
- Coordinate route coverage, emergency orders, demos, festivals, schedules, and initiatives.
- Represent the brand at store setups, resets, grand openings, and consumer events.
- Oversee sales and logistics route management for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain team harmony, resolve grievances, and step in to cover sales routes when necessary.
- Uphold professional standards, including dress code and employee handbook guidelines.

Strong knowledge of the Metro NY / NJ Latino market composition (demographic, geographic, socio-economic, idiosyncrasy, etc.)5+ years of sales management experience of food items / C.P.G.At least 10-people management / direct report experienceAnalyze and act-upon data, reports, and forecastsDevelop and execute training / mentoring sessions for his teamsExperience with Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Available to work on weekends when deemed necessary
