Job Summary
The General Manager fulfills a key, full-time position that provides exceptional property management, leadership, and direction on behalf of a large and dynamic master-planned community. The role requires working closely with the client, on-site staff, the company, and internal support staff, with a focus on delivering excellence and professionalism in all interactions.
Responsibilities and Duties
Inspect communities and make maintenance recommendations.
Understand and carry out the terms and conditions of the Management Contracts.
Develop and submit complete and accurate annual budgets, meeting all deadlines and demonstrating thorough analysis and alignment with asset goals and market conditions.
Develop and maintain an effective resident relations plan, implement initiatives, and maintain an operating environment to achieve exemplary resident services.
Coordinate activities with other corporate support functions.
Analyze alternatives to problems and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Prepare for, attend, present manager's reports and financial reports, and summarize in notes and minutes all Board of Directors meetings.
Fully develop all potential revenue opportunities.
Implement standard operating procedures that are consistent with the company culture.
Interface regularly with internal customers and external vendors and clients.
Hire, train, mentor, and support team members.
The General Manager will supervise all on-site staff and off-site associates in support of the communities Vesta serves.
Required Experience and Qualifications
5 to 10 years of industry experience.
3 to 5 years of leadership experience.
LCAM designation.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position is based onsite at the facility with regular community site inspections and attendance at periodic company leadership meetings required.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
