JOB TITLE: MEDICAL BILLER
Pay: $18.23 -$39.53 Per Hour
Working part-time is a minimum of 20 hours per week and full-time is a minimum of 40 hours weekly.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Medical Biller to join our medical facility’s administrative team to process patient billing information.
Responsibilities include tasks that require data analysis and sound judgment to help our patients throughout the billing process. In addition, the best candidate for this position will be experienced with billing software and medical insurance policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaising with physicians and other parties to clarify information.
• Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ASA codes.
• Assigning APC and DRG codes.
• Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer program.
• Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• 2+ years of work experience as a medical coder.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong people skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
