Join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at OnPoint Community Credit Union. The Financial Analyst position is a professional role providing support to numerous parts of the organization including the Accounting and Treasury departments.

This role performs routine data driven planning processes to improve monthly and quarterly reporting. This includes assisting with strategic approaches for gathering, maintaining and reporting data with various tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support the credit union's annual budgeting process, variance analysis and forecasting activities.
  • Develops user dashboards and reports that provide actionable data to support strategic and budget planning efforts.
  • Participates on projects teams, researching financial requirements and impacts, and recommending and developing efficient processes to best support objectives.
  • Provides data driven insights and recommendations to various organizational partners.
  • Assists with creating and updating processes and procedures.
  • Implement automations and efficiencies by partnering with various teams throughout the credit union.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the credit union's performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support management decision-making by providing timely and insightful financial analysis and reporting to solve problems.
  • Work with cross-functional to develop and implement new financial products and services.
  • Reports, educates and advises various credit union stakeholders on financial results and metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Performs other such tasks as may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise and proficiency with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Strong ability to gather, analyze and present financial, statistical and economic data in a clear and concise fashion to assist with problem solving or strategic plans.
  • Experience extracting, collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting results to help provide solutions to various challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Requirements

  • Four year degree in Accounting / Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of six years of financial analysis and data analytic experience in a financial institution preferred.
  • Technical competencies are required relating to system administration, data processing, Power BI, SQL, Excel, Access, and Word.
  • 1+ year of experience leading or supervising people.
