Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Technician to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be the central hub for coordinating all maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production while maximizing equipment uptime and reliability. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, scheduling, and tracking of maintenance work orders, playing a critical role in the success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintenance Scheduling & Coordination :
Serve as the central point of contact for scheduling production equipment for safety, quality, and maintenance activities.
Develop and manage the Plan of the Week (POW), coordinating with all maintenance departments to align on the production schedule and maintenance windows.
Lead and facilitate weekly POW meetings to secure allotted downtime and communicate scheduling priorities.
Work Order Management :
Oversee the complete lifecycle of maintenance work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Partner with Engineering and Maintenance Supervisors to plan work orders, update statuses, assign owners, and allocate necessary parts.
Track, analyze, and report on scheduled-vs-completed maintenance work on a weekly and monthly basis.
Parts & Inventory Coordination :
Attend weekly Spare Parts meetings to track materials and schedule work upon part arrival.
Manage the kitting process for planned maintenance jobs and ensure the return of unused kits.
Provide regular updates on work orders awaiting materials and kit availability.
Continuous Improvement :
Proactively follow up with supervisors to identify incomplete planned work and reschedule it efficiently.
Assist in improving maintenance systems (Preventative, Corrective, Predictive) and contribute to equipment design reviews for reliability and maintainability.
Qualifications & Skills :
Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential.
Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus among different teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience with tracking KPIs and generating maintenance performance reports.
