Job Title : Maintenance planning and scheduling Technician

Position Overview
The Maintenance Planner & Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing all planned and unplanned maintenance activities for LS3 Production. This role ensures that equipment maintenance is completed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to production operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to support continuous operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
Develop, manage, and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
Prioritize planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to meet operational needs and production timelines.
Coordinate production line maintenance downtime to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
Partner with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to plan work effectively.
Support improvements in Preventive, Corrective, Predictive maintenance, and Spare Parts systems.
Review engineering specifications and evaluate new equipment designs for reliability and ease of maintenance.
Work Order Management
Track and report scheduled vs. completed LS3 maintenance work orders monthly by shift.
Manage the US2_LS3_PLANNING AND SCHEDULING work order group in the Computerized Manufacturing Maintenance Program (CMMP).
Update work order owners, departments, parts, kits, statuses, and scheduling details.
Ensure all planned work orders are added to the LS3 Plan of the Week (POW).
Meetings & Coordination
Serve as the central point of contact for scheduling equipment for maintenance, quality checks, and safety activities.
Lead and coordinate the weekly Plan of the Week (POW) meeting with all LS3 Maintenance departments.
Attend pre-POW meetings to secure downtime and resolve scheduling concerns.
Follow up weekly with EM Supervisors to identify incomplete tasks and reschedule them appropriately.
Spare Parts & Material Tracking
Attend weekly Spare Parts meetings to review work orders awaiting materials and confirm part ETAs.
Schedule maintenance work as soon as required parts become available.
Provide weekly updates on :
Work orders waiting on materials
Kits staged outside Spare Parts
Target start dates for all scheduled work involving kits
Ensure unused kits are returned promptly and documented.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or production coordination (preferred).
Strong understanding of maintenance processes (Preventive, Corrective, Predictive).
Proficiency with maintenance software / CMMS systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
