Production / Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical contact for production-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and implementing long-term corrective actions.
Manage non-conforming materials and lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, and DMAIC.
Create and update shop orders, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to support continuous production flow.
Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.
Collaborate with design, quality, and test engineering teams to support both development and production programs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence methodologies.
Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing engineering, testing, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in working with mechanical and electronic systems.
CAD software proficiency, including SolidWorks, NX, and Unigraphics.
Direct manufacturing experience and root cause analysis skills.
Experience managing nonconformances and improving processes on the production floor.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in low-rate, high-complexity manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies such as Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and DMAIC.
Experience with automated manufacturing processes and test methods at component, subsystem, and system levels.
Knowledge of QTP / ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing including thermal, acoustic, and vibration.
Strong background in electrical system design, metrology, and mechanical failure analysis.
Demonstrated technical writing skills for documentation such as test plans, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Kirkland, working a 4 / 10 schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of Kirkland, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00 / hr.
