Your role

We have an exciting opening at our Roanoke branch for a Relationship Specialist III. In this role you will cultivate strong relationships with our members and community so we may improve their quality of life and financial well-being. You strive to build relationships by offering opportunities to support members needs with clear communication, responsiveness, while creating a personalized experience. You are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the teller line and supporting the member experience with opening or maintaining deposits, loans, and investment accounts as well as all forms of transactions.

To be successful in this role you will need to be energetic and personable with previous banking and leadership experience. Enjoy interacting and providing a positive experience for our members. Have strong attention to detail and highly organized. You are self-motivated, eager to learn and take on new challenges.

Your day

• Maintains an understanding of ValleyStar's history, mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the features and benefits of credit union products and services to confidently recommend solutions that meet the needs of our member and community.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all retail and digital systems to better support the needs of their team to provide an exceptional experience for the members.
• Responsible for the Teller Line and Branch Operations :

Ensure the team members on the teller line serves the membership by providing service and information to members and performing account transactions in a pleasant, efficient manner. Ensure teller drawer cash limits are adhered to.
