Duties
- Analyze new case files, develop action plans, and budgets, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants while ensuring compliance with pleading requirements.
- Manage and prepare discovery responses and oversee document production.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and discovery events, documenting detailed reports.
- Engage in settlement negotiations, secure necessary approvals, and prepare for trials as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including paralegals and legal assistants.
Requirements
Over 5 years of litigation experience, particularly in insurance defense.Proven track record of handling complex litigation matters.Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.Education
Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent legal degree.Certifications
Active Bar membership in North Carolina is required.Skills
