Attorney Lawyer Insurance Company Litigation Policy Development Transaction _.

Provide legal advice to Claims, Policy Development, Risk Management and other departments on laws and regulations governing international trade of goods (imports and exports), and product regulatory (including labeling and product safety) compliance for large insurance company.

Requires Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 3 years of law firm experience and membership in state bar.

• Build relationships with internal and external clients to understand and address business needs related to imports, export, and other market access requirements.
• Provide legal counsel regarding import, export, and product regulatory compliance, including regulatory analysis, product tariff classification, environmental “green” product claims, and compliance with applicable regulatory trade policies, laws, and regulations.
• Support development and monitoring of client trade compliance best practices and strategies, including duty savings and free trade optimization activities.
• Assist risk assessment, customs compliance audits, and transaction testing issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and risk management and compliance documents.
