Our Imaging Services team provides advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, General Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology.

The Scheduling Secretary for Interventional Radiology is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, ensuring procedures are scheduled efficiently, and supporting the smooth flow of daily operations. You will ensure all scheduling requests are processed accurately, physician orders are followed, and patients receive clear instructions and appointment details.

This position reports directly to the Manager of Radiology . Essential & valuable skills gained (in this unit or in this department) :

Strong understanding of interventional radiology scheduling workflows and terminology

Enhanced communication and coordination skills across physicians, nurses, techs, and patients

Proficiency in medical scheduling systems and electronic health records (EHR)

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting

Patient-centered service skills, ensuring accuracy and compassion in all interactions

Accredited Imaging Services : Part of Union Health’s Imaging team with ACR and IAC accreditations, ensuring quality and safety.

Advanced Interventional Care : Offers minimally invasive, image-guided procedures like biopsies, drain placements, and angiography.

High Standards in Radiology : Operates under nationally recognized imaging quality and patient care standards.

Essential Job Duties :

Schedules, registers, checks in patients, and ensures prior mammography reports are available.

Refers eligible patients to grant-funded programs and handles related paperwork or payment arrangements.

Clearly explains procedures, answers patient questions, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Maintains knowledge of hospital policies, anatomy, radiology exams, and appropriate ordering protocols.

Collaborates with staff, assists with training, and addresses workflow, communication, or equipment issues.

7 : 30-4pm; Mon- Friday days may vary

Education :

  • High School Diploma Required
