Havasu Regional Medical Center (HRMC JV General Partner) in Lake Havasu City, Arizona is seeking a qualified Travel Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift assignment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a Joint Commission-accredited facility that serves a diverse patient population across adult and pediatric care settings.
Position Overview
The Respiratory Therapist will provide direct respiratory care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. The role involves administering treatments, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal respiratory outcomes.
Schedule
Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AMHours : 36 hours per week guaranteedContract Length : 13 weeksFloat Requirement : May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facilityResponsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilationPerform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testingMonitor and document patient progress and response to therapyCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plansMaintain and calibrate respiratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standardsRespond to emergency situations including rapid response and code blue eventsQualifications
Licensure : Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist LicenseCertifications Required : BLS, PALS, NRP, NBRCExperience : Minimum 1–2 years of recent clinical experience in respiratory therapyPreferred Skills
Proficiency in managing ventilator-dependent patientsExperience in both adult and pediatric care settingsFamiliarity with EMR systems and documentation standardsStrong communication and critical thinking skills
