The Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing producer of precision metal components for high-stakes markets such as energy, aerospace, and heavy industrial equipment. They are investing heavily in modern equipment, lean principles, and top-tier engineering talent to keep pace with surging customer demand. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between customer requirements and shop-floor execution, shaping how complex parts move from quote to finished shipment. If you enjoy variety, hands-on problem solving, and seeing your ideas come to life in the plant every day, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze customer RFQs, prepare data-driven cost estimates, and recommend optimal production approaches.
  • Create detailed routings that convert specifications into clear workflow steps for machining, forging, heat treat, and inspection teams.
  • Collaborate with raw material, machining, quality, and logistics groups to keep orders on schedule and within tolerance.
  • Develop and maintain AutoCAD (and 3-D where applicable) drawings for parts, custom tooling, and fixtures.
  • Interpret and apply industry codes and customer standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, and others) to ensure audit-ready quality.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and continuous-improvement leadership in a high-mix, fast-moving shop environment.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or similar) plus proven experience in a discrete-parts manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated success creating cost models and routings for low-volume, high-complexity components.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (or comparable CAD package) and familiarity with ERP / MRP routing tools.
  • Working knowledge of metalworking processes such as forging, machining, heat treatment, and NDE.
  • Solid grasp of quality systems, statistical methods, and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and an eagerness to work on the production floor alongside operators and technicians.
  • Why You'll Love This Role

  • Impact : Own cradle-to-grave process design for critical parts used where failure is not an option.
  • Visibility : Report directly to engineering leadership with a seat at the table on cost, quality, and delivery decisions.
  • Growth : Join a company scaling aggressively with clear advancement paths into senior engineering or operations leadership.
  • Culture : Fast-paced, collaborative environment that celebrates innovation and supports continuous learning.
