Our client, in the mortgage industry, is in need for a Commissions Analyst to join their team on a contract basis here in Tucson! In this role, you will be responsible for managing commission calculations, payroll processes, and incentive payments while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with various departments in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately calculate and administer sales commissions and incentive payments on a semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership, HR, Finance, and Payroll to ensure commission plans are clearly documented and consistently applied.
- Prepare and distribute commission sheets, including formula creation and supporting documentation for each pay cycle.
- Track and process bonus structures and employee changes related to commission payments.
- Submit payroll data accurately, including base pay, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and adjustments.
- Process payroll changes such as rate adjustments, retroactive pay, and wage assignments in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Utilize payroll, timekeeping, and commission systems for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Audit and reconcile payroll and commission data to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information while adhering to company policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commission analysis, incentive compensation, or payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of commission structures, compensation practices, and payroll systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, and pivot tables
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing payroll and compensation.
- Familiarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems such as ADP, Paycom or Workday.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to communicate compensation details clearly and effectively to employees and leadership.
