Director of Development

Our client is a specialist in large scale transmission infrastructure development, backed by one of the industries leading energy investment firms, with a combined experience of spearheading over $11 billion of transmission projects, integrating 14 GW.

They are looking to add a new Director of Development based in San Francisco after securing a number of critical projects across California. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all phases of project development, leading project teams, and driving commercialization strategies.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing transmission projects from early-stage development through construction, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget including engineering design, land acquisition, permitting, interconnection, procurement, regulatory compliance, scheduling, and project controls.
• Leading project teams, coordinate tasks with subject matter experts, and negotiate agreements with consultants and vendors to drive project success
• Supporting project permitting requirements, negotiate and obtain the necessary development permits including relevant environmental, local, state, and federal permits
• Collaborating with the CAISO, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders to foster strong relationships and support project initiatives
