Roving Lead Craftsman

As a Roving Lead Craftsman, you're primarily responsible for construction, rehabilitation projects and compliance repairs for multiple properties.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may expand to include other duties and responsibilities based on business need.

• Uses service request system (Yardi), inspect check program, to prioritize, itemize and document work load.
• Repairs / replaces any apartment material / maintenance requests within scope, including but not limited to the following areas- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, interior and exterior structural, appliances, and apartment make-readies;

including exterior grounds and common areas of the property.

• Complete understanding and working knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures. Assisting with ensuring that established preventative maintenance programs are implemented, followed, and documented per company program guidelines.
• Assist with identification and correction of hazardous community conditions including daily touring of the property reporting any hazards to the Property Manager, Regional Maintenance Director, and DFM
• Assist with inventory and ordering supplies and may be responsible for pick-up of supplies as needed.
• Demonstrated knowledge of structural builds and repair and maintenance, irrigation and pool systems.
• Basic computer skills / knowledge required to perform job functions. Daily use of company provided tablet required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize work functions
• A positive, team-oriented attitude, and ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Available to travel to multiple sites around United States, PR and USVI.

Assignment length depends on project, company will cover travel, transportation, lodging, and food while working away from base location.

Company will cover trip home and back to site every other weekend if assignment is scheduled over 2 weeks.

• EPA Certification in areas of Type II-domestic HVAC systems, 410A- or ability to obtain
• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or ability to obtain
