About The Position

Must-Have :

• Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols and administering IV insulin
• Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care including cardiovascular experience

Description :

The position requires a registered nurse specializing in PCU / MS floating.

The nurse must be comfortable working in all PCU and MS units.

The typical shift duration is 12 hours, working nights from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15.

Candidates will float based on staffing needs, which are re-evaluated every four hours, potentially floating 2-3 times per shift.

Weekend work may be required every other week or six shifts over a six-week block.

The nurse must work one holiday during the 13-week contract period.

Charting experience with a specific electronic health record system is required.

The patient ratios in PCU are generally 5 : 1, while in MS they are approximately 6 : 1, which may increase.

Travelers are encouraged to submit all required requests at the time of application.

Documented previous charge experience and a solid history of patient ratio management are preferred.

This position involves interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals.

Specialty skills required include care for ventilated patients, management of dysrhythmias, and proficiency in tracheostomy care.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.
