Responsibilities
Audit clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with guidelinesCollaborate with physicians and staff to enhance documentation practices and address improvement opportunitiesMonitor and analyze the quality and performance of the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) programAdminister training sessions for new staff and provide ongoing education to the CDI teamAssist with third-party payor denials and other related projectsQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care settingAt least 18 months of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement / Integrity (CDI)5 or more years of coding experience in inpatient and / or outpatient ICD-10 CM / PCSCurrent RN license in Kansas or equivalent certification for foreign medical graduatesPreferred Qualifications
