The ITTrainer / Technical Writer is tasked with documentation of trainingmaterials in support of the DIT transition to ServiceNow and theprocedural documentation of Standard PreApproved Changes (SPACs).

The IT Trainer / Technical Writer will help facilitate the collectionof all training requirements and ensure that they can betransitioned to the DIT Learning Management System (LMS).

The ITTrainer / Technical Writer will also track and report on the statusof training and procedural documentation to all appropriatebusiness stakeholders.

In support of these activities the ITTrainer / Technical Writer will need to coordinate with multipleservice teams from the various areas of the agency to providetraining review documentation distribute information and resolvequestions.

Core Job Functions

Understanding of the ITInfrastructure Library (ITIL) IT Service Management lifecycle.

Understanding of ServiceNowITIL platform

Understandingof technical documentation requirements for Hosting NetworkEnterprise Applications etc.

Understanding Learning Management Systems(LMS)

Prepare recordedtraining to be stored on theLMS.

Prepare training anddocumentation for reviews with businessstakeholders.

Operate officemachinery (i.e. computer copy machine faxmachine).

Performmiscellaneous data entry and document preparation in support ofother departments.

Performother related duties asassigned.

Adhere to companystandards and maintains compliance with all policies andprocedures.

ITTrainer / Technical Writer Requirements andQualifications

Ability toread analyze and interpret complex technical requirements.Familiarity with the IT Infrastructure Library and IT ServiceManagement knowledge are experience highlypreferred.

Excellentanalytical and timemanagementskills.

Two years previousexperience as an IT Trainer with experience in technical writing orrelated field.

Basicmathematical skills including the ability to calculatepercentages.

Solid verbal andwritten communication skills with the ability to communicate at alllevels.

Proficient computerskills Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook andExcel).

Ability to takeinitiative multitask prioritize manage time efficient andeffectively adapt to changes.

Strict adherence to DIT guidelines compliance laws and legalrequirements

License(s) &Certifications

An ITIL v3 2011Foundations or advanced certifications is highlypreferred
