HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Manager of Organ Recovery Services leads the entire process of organ recovery, from initial referral and donor evaluation to surgical recovery phase of organ donation, preservation, kidney perfusion and allocation, and safe transportation of organs for local transplant centers within the OPO designated service area. Serves as link between the Clinical and Hospital Development management teams to facilitate and maintain a collaborative working environment and to ensure accountability during recoveries and effective process improvements through a continuous review of policies, procedures and practices. Ensures compliance with strict regulatory standards, and fostering relationships with hospitals and transplant centers to maximize the number of organs recovered and transplanted.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Operations Management : Manages the day-to-day operations of organ recovery alongside the Organ Recovery supervisors, including surgical recovery, accurate packaging and labeling, organ allocation, and the transportation of recovered organs. Leads all aspects of kidney perfusion and organs imported into the donation service area. Facilitates recovery of research organs and tissues from organ donors, keeping current with the needs of our partners, internally and externally. Ensures the completion and accuracy of donor related documentation in LNHs computer system and / or in the donor chart while administratively interacting with the staff to keep an accurate account of case related details. Assures that all equipment is maintained and that all maintenance is documented accordingly.
- People Leadership : Provides oversight to assigned team by supervising, guiding, and directing Organ Recovery supervisors to be effective team members and leaders. Ensures that everyone is equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary for executing their duties. Using the established people processes (performance, development, succession, and career) to ensure that their teams level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards. Works collaboratively with the Director of Organ Recovery, Senior Director of OPO Operations, and OPO Clinical Education, to develop and keep current new training programs, and monitor the technical training records of staff working in the surgical recovery phase of donation, kidney perfusion and the import of organs for transplantation.
- Continuous Process Improvement : Oversees process improvement to the organ recovery process to maximize organ donation where applicable and in conjunction with industry standards and federal / state laws. Collaborates with the Director of Organ Recovery and OPO Quality to develop strategies for improving operational practices based on data analysis and to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the donation process.Develops and monitors quality improvement metrics and processes to ensure compliance with OPTN, AOPO and Joint Commission standards.
- Communication and Collaboration : Maintains strong communication with key partners, including transplant centers, medical professionals, transportation vendors, and other organ procurement organizations.
- Vendor Management : Monitors vendor performance and financial impact of new equipment as well as current practices and contracts to assure each vendor meets contractual obligations and contract renewals are completed timely.

Organ Donation Process Knowledge : Strong understanding of the organ donation process, brain death, and family dynamics. COMPENSATION
Salary Range : $100,306 - $133,741
Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $100,306 hourly (entry level qualifications to $133,741 hourly (experienced in this role). Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidates knowledge and relevant experience.
